Willow:

All of our bats are made from hand selected pure English Willow and are medium to soft pressed on the face for maximum performance. Other than the really hard press bats the medium to soft press bats are often used by pro players who want their bat to reach maximum performance in a short period. Our ping/performance and balance of the bats is considered as one of the better ones in the market.

Grading:

With the increasing amount of cricket being played internationally as well as domestic cricket in leagues around the world English Willow is becoming scarcer. Therefore it is even more a challenge to get willow that has perfect aesthetics and great performance. This resulted in the grading rules to have changed along the years to still deliver top quality bats in all ranges. Every company grades the bat differently and has their own particular focus. We put performance and the balance of the bat as main criteria to grade the bat and determine the price. Logically a perfect looking bat with bad performance and a bad balance will not be worth the money. Whereas a slightly lesser better looking bat with amazing performance and balance will be of much more use. So our grading is more focused on performance and balance. We try to be a brand that is the number 1 choice for players. Saying that we do have certain rules for the aesthetics to grade a bat so the looks, performance and balance are aligned and fitting for the grade in which we graded the bat.

Bat preparation:

We advise the players to oil the face of the bat (not the edges or the back) and hand-knock the bat with a bat mallet along with some good practice sessions in the nets with slow throw downs using an older/semi old (not new) ball. After knocking and before use in the nets please use a bat protection sheet on the bat. The bat sheet and knocking is meant to compress the fibres of the bat to minimize the chance of breaking. Bat breakage is mainly caused because of fibres of the willow splitting. When you bring the fibres of the willow closer to each other, the chance of breakage is reduced. We can provide the bat protection service (applying bat protection sheet) as well as the knocking service for an extra charge as we have a knocking machine in house!

Guarantee:

For the Performance Plus Range Bats we provide a 2-month guarantee on handle damage, however we do not provide guarantee on blade, shoulder or toe damage. Why? In the past we experienced that the most damage is caused by using bad quality balls and usage of an unprepared bat against new/bad quality balls. Because we can not ensure that the conditions of use is proper, hence we can not provide guarantee on this part. So our advice to all the customers is to prepare and care for your bat and use good quality cricket balls. In case of handle damage we replace the handle of the bat at our own cost (you send it back to us and you will get it back in max 4 weeks). In case the handle damage is so severe that the bat can’t be repaired we replace the bat with a same bat
